The Main Hall is the former nave of the church. It is a large room of architectural merit, with pleasing proportions and a high wooden beamed ceiling.

It is suitable for large social gatherings such as wedding receptions, wakes, sit down lunches or dinners, as well as birthday celebrations.

We have a music license allowing for live music to be performed - also ideal for rehearsals.

Indoor sports are played, including many badminton groups.

It hosts a regular Yoga class and is suitable for any therapeutic or exercise groups.

It is suitable for business or institutional meetings, and for standing exhibitions as there is a large electric screen and projector, as well as Bluetooth and state of the art microphones.

Committee Room

The room will seat slightly fewer if seated in a committee style around tables.

The room can be used as a committee room, or as a stage of the Main Hall if the folding doors between the rooms are left open.

It has a separate entrance, via the kitchen, for access when the main hall is occupied, and is accessed via a small flight of stairs.

Kitchen

The kitchen is available to hirers of the Main Hall or Committee Room as part of the booking charge for tea and coffee making facilities.

It is has a double sink, two cookers, a dishwasher, a microwave, a water heater, a triple door refrigerator, and a heated moveable stainless steel unit for keeping food warm. Standard utensils and equipment are provided. Please discuss your requirements with the Booking secretary if you are booking for the first time and intending to cater for large numbers. Instruction on the use of the equipment is mounted on the kitchen wall. Please take away all rubbish with you as we have no collection facilities from the council please leave the kitchen as you find it.

There are around 80 place settings and cutlery.

Kitchen cleaning materials are available and there is a vacuum in the table store for use by hirers.

Equipment

The Main Hall has seating for 100 using upholstered stackable chairs. Folding tables that seat 6 to 8 people are available. Tables can be placed in a configuration to suit both meetings and social events.

We also have 100 solid plastic stackable chairs which can be hired from us for functions outside of Neroche Hall. We do not hire out the upholstered chairs.

The Committee Room has padded seats for 20, with extra stackable seats available if required. Folding tables that seat 4 to 6 are provided.

There is an Audio Visual unit with microphones and Bluetooth, a DVD player, projector and screen, as well as the capability to plug in a laptop.

The equipment is included in the booking charge.

Toilets

The toilets are accessed from the entrance lobby. We have wide access toilet facilities suitable for people with disabilities.

Heating

The hall is heated by electric air sourced heat pumps. Instructions on the use of the heaters in the hall and committee room are mounted on the wall in each room. The heaters in the Main Hall operate in banks of 3 - just switch on or off as required at the middle heater on each wall.

Heating is sometimes a chargeable extra so please discuss your heating requirements with the Booking secretary.

Parking

There is a large car park with adequate space for hall users. Should you need access for a large vehicle (over 2.2m), please ensure this is requested via the Booking Form.
